Creativity is like a good pencil: an important tool with which you can leave a meaningful mark. It requires motivation and emotion to support it. If its tip breaks, it’s best to lay it down on paper. After a moment’s rest on the lines and squares, it’s ready to be sharpened again.

A good designer has creativity behind their ear as standard equipment.

Creativity is the essence of this work, and what separates a winning concept from a mediocre one is that a killer idea allows the viewer the pleasure of connecting the dots behind the concept. What is also rewarding - for both the viewer and the creator – is presenting a complex subject in an informative, yet interesting way. Creativity also requires good collaboration skills, and working with a good writer is like combining different vocal types to create a rich sound.

In my spare time, my creativity finds an outlet in oil painting.

Even if there are strict style guidelines, the code itself is always my own handwriting. This award is given to agencies that demonstrate high levels of client satisfaction and referral value (financial considerations were not a factor in this award), and here at Karpalo we’re more than excited that our hard work and dedication has now been officially recognised.

What were the competition criteria?

The survey is based on the concept of the Swedish consultancy company Regi Research & Strategi. The survey provides an annual insight into client satisfaction among businesses buying marketing, advertising and communication services from different agencies, and it also sheds light on the criteria that influence the client’s choice of agency and general trends in the marketing industry.

Entering the final was a source of great pride as the nominees and winners were chosen on the basis of client satisfaction as well as business and financial criteria. Client satisfaction was scored on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.
